What should you expect during your first visit?

We love and welcome new patients at Denta Care. We aim to always provide our visitors with the highest quality dental care in a relaxing environment. You can expect very easy parking and access to our practice. Your appointment will start with a quick check-in with our caring staff, which they will make as easy for you as possible. We will need a few forms to be completed during the first visit, but help will be readily available should you need it. Your first visit will start with an evaluation of your oral health. We will use this information to create a customized care plan for you. X-rays of your mouth will be taken to provide us with a blueprint of your dental health and needs.

After the check-up, we will measure your gums in order to determine the best type of cleaning and treatment for you. After the dental cleaning, the dentist will speak to you about the current state of your dental health. If you receive a clean report of dental health, you’ll simply receive instructions on good dental habits to continue with after you leave Denta Care. However, if any problems are detected, we will advise you on what could be done to improve your oral health or if any special procedures are needed to be taken. A specific treatment plan may be created for you, and you can discuss financing options that best fit your budget.

We encourage you to ask questions and any concerns you might have, and also share with us anything you want us to know in order to help make your care as unique as you are. Lastly, we want you to rest assured that we will go above and beyond to make you feel safe, relaxed and happy. We will make sure that your physical and emotional comfort is taken care of and you will leave with a happy heart and a healthy smile!

My teeth feel great! Do I still need to see a dentist?

It’s highly recommended that you visit your dentist every 6 months for routine dental cleaning and exams, we can catch and stop any issue from developing. These appointments are your best defense against breakage and decay and help keep your mouth healthy. For people with previous procedures done or a history of oral health issues, more frequent visits are highly recommended.

How can I prevent dental work from failing?

•  Brush your teeth 2x a day for 2 minutes
•  Floss at least once a day
•  Eat a healthy diet, limiting sugary and acidic foods
•  Don’t smoke!

How should I care of my teeth at home?

Most oral health issues can be avoided by brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing daily. Rinsing with a mouthwash gives an extra germ-killing boost in cleaning the areas that brushing and flossing miss.

When should I change my toothbrush?

We highly recommend changing your toothbrush every three months. If you are using an electric toothbrush, make sure you read the directions and follow the replacement instructions. Patients with gum disease are encouraged to replace toothbrushes every 4 to 6 weeks to keep bacteria from spreading.

How long will my first appointment last?

You should prepare to arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out any remaining patient forms. The total time of your first appointment is around 1 hr
